Neuro-oncology
The oncological treatment of patients with brain tumors presents an increasing challenge. Affected individuals are typically confronted with questions that are rarely answered within the of a monodisciplinary approach.
The rapid development of new treatment techniques—surgical methods, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy—as well as the latest classification of brain tumors, play an enormous role in the optimal long-term treatment of gliomas and meningiomas.
Course of oncological care
After surgery, the histological analysis is available, and each patient is discussed in the context of an interdisciplinary tumor board. In this board, radiologists, pathologists, oncologists, and radiation therapists collaborate to recommend an individualized treatment plan for each patient according to current neuro-oncological guidelines. If necessary, chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy is initiated.
Long-term treatment requires regular imaging control—usually MRI. This allows for the assessment of the response to the applied therapy and the timely treatment of any possible tumor recurrence.
We take care of your comprehensive consultation for selecting the optimal therapy, as well as regular monitoring through imaging and clinical controls.
